NEW FACES: DLG WELCOMES INTERNS

Meet Amber Randall.

She grew up in Cape Town, South Africa where she attained her LLB degree. Simultaneously at university and attending private legal tuition at The Ivy Law School where she was recognised for her distinctions in the subjects of International Law, Insolvency Law, Contract Law, Sale and Lease, Statutory Interpretation and Social Justice.

Amber has been resident in Botswana since 2019. She is currently a LLM Candidate at the University of South Africa focusing on Intellectual Property Law. Having completed master’s-level coursework in Copyright, Trademark, Patent and Tech IP Law, she is writing her dissertation on the topic of “The Right to Access to Essential Medicine: A Comparative Analysis of South Africa and Botswana’s Pharmaceutical Patent Policies”.

Her focus areas at DLG are Intellectual Property and Corporate Law, but she enjoys working in a team to be hands-on in all departments across the firm.

Awaiting her results from the Botswana Law Society Bar Examinations, she is passionate about protecting the creations of the mind and advocating for the advancement and development of intellectual property law across the African continent.
