Last week Thursday, our young lawyers attended a specialized training session on Corporate Lending, focusing on the legal and commercial dynamics that underpin lending transactions.

 

The training session explored the full lending process, from structuring and negotiating facility agreements, to understanding security arrangements, covenants, and regulatory considerations. We also had an in-depth discussion on risk assessment, borrower due diligence, and best practices in protecting lenders’ interests while facilitating commercial objectives.

 

This training proved to be extremely useful and insightful to the DLG junior corporate team. Thank you to the Law Society of Botswana for hosting the event and the facilitator Mr. Batsho Nthoi who shared his wealth of international experience with us.
