DLG sponsored chess protégée ,Thuto Mpene, qualifies for the Africa Schools Tournament in Liberia

Following the lifting of COVID restrictions on in person competitions, DLG is delighted to advise that Thuto Mpene recently finished in the top 10 at the Chess Championships held in Lusaka. As such, he has qualified to represent Botswana at the Africa Schools tournament in Liberia this December.

DLG is honoured to continue to be a part of his chess journey, and to play our part in supporting such a remarkable citizen talent.
