On 19 June 2019, Amanda Evans – the Business Development and Logistics Manager at DLG addressed us on the various roles of the HR and Logistics department. For one, HR is the “oversight authority” of the overall well being of all staff members – from the small things like the comfort of you chair to the bigger ones like paternity leave and ensuring that staff is paid on time. HR is always the motherly spirit of the workplace, with its doors open to hear all and any grievances or discomforts, and even victories that all staff members may have. It is indeed a pivotal and imperative part of any workplace.
