Since early 2017, Desai Law Group has been nurturing the great and talented Thuto Mpene, a member of the DLG Young Talent Sponsorship Programme.
Thuto Mpene is a young boy from Letlakeng, Kweneng District who is a chess champion. At 9 years old, he was selected by Desai Law Group for its Young Talent Sponsorship Program and ever since has been sponsored by the firm to compete in various chess tournaments.
Thuto has been selected by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) to take part in the Africa Schools Chess Championships 2019. This championships will be taking place in Kampala, Uganda from 26th June – 4th July 2019 and Thuto will be representing Botswana in the under 11 open category.
DLG is very proud of Thuto and we wish him the very best while putting Botswana on the Map.
