Last month, our Partner, Eleng, participated in a panel discussion hosted by VISA for SMEs in Botswana. She provided guidance on legal preparedness for investment and partnership engagements, drawing on her track record advising investors and lenders across varying transaction scales. She also addressed the enabling role of law in advancing technology and innovation ecosystems in Botswana.

 

Looking ahead, Eleng believes a strong emphasis on developing and supporting early-stage enterprises (particularly tech, tech-enabled and innovation-driven businesses) will be critical. Equipping these ventures with the legal, financial and operational resources required for scalable growth will not only the strengthen individual companies but may also contribute to broader national economic competitiveness and resilience.
