Rizwan Desai – LL.B (Hons.) (Edin.), DIP.LP (Edin.), LL.M (Harvard) – is the Founding Partner of Desai Law Group and Head of Corporate. He is qualified as an Attorney in Botswana. He also qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales and in Scotland and as an Attorney in New York. Rizwan practised at a major UK law firm before returning to Botswana in 1999, at which time he joined another Botswana law firm where he was one of the senior partners for 16 years. Angelica Bojosi – BA (UCT), LL.B (UCT), LL.M (Queensland) – is a Partner at Desai Law Group. She was admitted as an Attorney in Botswana in 2004 and as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2009. Angelica has been involved in corporate commercial transactions including complex due diligence activities and advising in relation to mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and joint venture, and banking work. →
Walter Mushi completed both this LLB and LLM at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa. He is admitted as an attorney of the High Courts of Botswana and is a member of the Law Society of Botswana.
He has served as a legal officer in the banking sector and most recently, worked as a Legal Services Manager in the telecommunications sector.
Walter has a broad understanding of the legal industry with experience in Corporate / Commercial law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Insolvency and Restructuring, Regulatory, Dispute Resolution, Financial Markets, Company Secretarial and ICT/ Telecommunications.
He has also completed an advanced certificate in Corporate Law at UNISA, a Certificate in financial Markets at Yale University and a Certificate in Applied Economics at University of Cape Town.
Eleng is a Partner in the Corporate Commercial Department. She specialises in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and competition law. She has also been involved in banking and finance work.
In 2016, Eleng was seconded to African Banking Corporation of Botswana Limited as a legal adviser.
Eleng has advised both domestic and international, private and listed companies from a variety of sectors including financial services, mining, energy, consumer products, tourism and hospitality.
She also regularly conducts and project-manages legal due diligence investigations across these sectors.
Lesedi Dingake is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial Department.
She has had internship experience at some of the most reputable corporate and litigation firms in the country, including Bookbinder Business Law and Chibanda Makgalemele. Lesedi also has experience in general litigation and family law matters, which she gained during her time at Dingake Law Partners.
She holds an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from the National University of Lesotho, and a General LLM (Master of Laws), from the University of Stellenbosch.
She is an admitted Attorney of the High Courts of Botswana and is a member of the Law Society of Botswana.
